Meet the mind.
A textile designer by training and a storyteller by instinct, Abhilasha has spent the last decade translating culture, craft and commerce into visual language for brands. Her work spans textile print development, design direction and brand building, shaped through collaborations with global names including Calvin Klein, H&M, Zara Home and Restoration Hardware.
Through years in the industry, she has learned that great products don’t scale simply because they exist. They scale when design, intention and execution move in tandem. This is where many brands struggle, and where she thrives. Her strength lies not only in creating design but in building systems, SOPs, narratives, print DNA and approval frameworks that help teams produce better, faster and more cohesively.
Studio Malmal was founded on that belief that Indian brands deserve world-class creative intelligence and precision. Through her consultancy practice, she works closely with founders, mills and fashion houses as a long-term creative ally, guiding decisions, reviewing collections, aligning production and helping ideas land exactly as they’re envisioned. This is the work that drives her: not just designing garments, but designing clarity, speed and differentiation for brands ready to grow.
Creativity is powerful, but with direction it becomes unstoppable.
